Project FeederWatch Day at the Central Kentucky Wildlife Refuge
CITIZEN SCIENCE OPPORTUNITY
Fred Loetscher Bird Blind @ CKWR
WATCH OUR FACEBOOK PAGE FOR UPCOMING DATES: https://www.facebook.com/CentralKyWildlifeRefuge/
Whether you’ve never bird-watched before or are an avid birder, come learn how to identify and help us collect data about the birds visiting our feeders at the Central Kentucky Wildlife Refuge. This is a family friendly event. All ages are welcome!
This data will be shared with scientists via Project FeederWatch (https://feederwatch.org/).
Park in our main parking lot. Then, follow the signs to the Fred Loetscher Bird Blind. This short, level, stroller-friendly walk will take you across the caretaker’s front yard to a small brown building that is the bird blind. Inside, there is a set of wooden stadium benches where you can sit and observe the visitors to our feeders. It will be heated in cold weather. A porta-potty is available at the main parking lot.
